Tips & tricks for handling our vacuum flasks/bottles

Before first use:
We recommend that you rinse your new vacuum flask/bottle two to three times with hot (not boiling) water before first use.
Important information:
- Please NEVER drink directly from the jug or bottle, but use a container into which you pour your drink (risk of scalding!).
- Avoid using metal objects (e.g. metal spoons or similar)
- Check your vacuum flask or bottle for damage before each use.
- Not microwave safe.
- Not suitable for dishwashers.
- Do not use the vacuum jug/bottle to keep milk products or baby food warm (danger of bacteria).
- It is not intended to be used for medical or experimental purposes.
- The items should not be left to children unattended.
Keep warm function:
In order to keep your drink warm for up to 24 hours, please first rinse the jug/bottle with warm water and fill it with hot water. After about 5 minutes, pour out the water and pour in the desired hot drink.
Keep cold function:
To keep your drink cold for up to 36 hours, fill the vacuum jug/bottle with cold water before pouring in the desired cold drink. After about 5 minutes, pour out the water and pour in the desired cold drink. Under no circumstances should ice cubes be used for additional cooling! After 36 hours, the liquid temperature increases by a maximum of 3 °C.
Brew tea directly in the pot:
Place the tea bag (not a metal tea infuser!) directly into the pot and place the string over the handle. Now your tea can develop its aroma within the specified brewing time.
The correct filling quantity:
Do not fill the jug/bottle to the brim (Caution! Danger of scalding due to overflowing liquid!). Please leave approx. 2 cm of space up to the edge of the glass neck. Also avoid submerging the screw cap in the drink.
Tightness:
Please only use the vacuum jug/bottle in a vertical position. Close it by putting the screw cap on and turning it to the right.
We recommend that you turn the lid again after approx. 5 minutes.
The sealing pressure of your new jug should be checked regularly after use and can be increased again by turning the base to the right. For products with a ground screw, tighten them lightly and carefully.
Easy pouring:
Turn the screw cap half a turn to the left while holding the jug/bottle vertically.
Now you can slowly tilt the vacuum jug forward and start pouring.
Cleaning:
For correct cleaning, it is advisable to clean the jug/bottle, the glass insert and the screw cap with a soft cloth or sponge under warm, running water.
Never use alcohol or spirits!

Streaks:
Streaks in the glass are possible due to production technology, but have no influence on the usability/insulating function or the quality of the glass body.
